Teammates and Billing: Why Adding People Costs Nothing
In brief: Net Net has no per-user, per-seat, or per-login pricing; adding teammates, freelancers, or contractors never changes your bill.
Applies to: Everyone in the workspace. Owners and Admins send invites; only an Owner can change the plan.

When every login has a price, someone gets left out. Net Net does not charge per user, per seat, or per login, and it never will. Invite your full-time staff, your part-timers, your freelancers, and the coordinator who shows up once a week: the bill does not move. What you pay is driven by how many Jobs are active, not by how many people are in the workspace.
You'll find it under Settings → Team, and your plan under Settings → Billing. Sending and managing the invitations themselves is covered in Managing Team Members, Invites, and Join Requests.
Adding people costs nothing
There is no per-person fee in Net Net. Not on the free tier, not during your trial, not on a paid plan.
Add whoever needs to be in there:
- Your employees, full-time and part-time
- Freelancers and contractors, including the ones you use twice a year
- A project coordinator, a bookkeeper, a partner agency
None of them change your bill.
Why this matters
Seat licensing forces a decision about every single person. Is this contractor worth another monthly line item? Is the part-timer in enough days a week to justify it?
Firms answer that question by rationing access. The freelancer works from a shared login or a spreadsheet someone emails them. The coordinator gets read-only screenshots. The part-timer is left out of the tool entirely and reports their work through somebody else.
And then the data in the system stops matching the work being done, which is the whole thing you bought the software to fix. The practical side of keeping outside help inside your system is worth reading about in managing freelance contractors in your marketing agency.
What actually drives your bill
Net Net calculates your bill at the workspace level from your active Jobs.
- Monthly: $30 per active Job per month, prorated by the day
- Annual: a prepaid block of Jobs for the year, with volume discounts
Head count is not part of that calculation anywhere. See Net Net Pricing: Free Tier, 60-Day Trial, and Paid Plans for the full mechanics.
The one time invites are blocked
Invites work normally while your workspace is on the free tier, in its trial, or on an active paid plan.
They stop working in one situation: when the workspace has been suspended for non-payment past its grace period, or canceled.
Two things worth knowing about this:
- Nobody already in the workspace is removed. Suspension blocks new people joining, it does not eject your team.
- It is not a per-seat charge appearing out of nowhere. It is a subscription-state check at the moment of joining. Once billing is sorted out, invites work again immediately and the same invite can be accepted.
What suspension is and how to get out of it is covered in When a Trial Ends or a Payment Fails: What Happens Next.
Who can change the billing
Inviting people and paying for the workspace are two different jobs, and Net Net keeps them separate.
- Owners hold the business layer. They change the subscription, change payment information, and can promote another Owner.
- Admins run the workspace day to day. They invite people, manage roles, and handle Join Requests, but they cannot change the plan or the payment details.
- Leads and Members do not invite people.
So an Admin can grow the team without ever being able to change what you pay. Which works out neatly, given that adding people does not change what you pay.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does adding a teammate cost extra?
No. Net Net has no per-user, per-seat, or per-login pricing. You can invite as many people as you need, in any working arrangement, without your bill changing. The price is driven by active Jobs.
Can I invite freelancers and contractors?
Yes, and there is no cost to doing it. Freelancers, contractors, part-timers, and occasional collaborators all get their own login at no additional charge, so the people doing the work can be in the system that tracks it.
Is there a limit on how many people I can have in my workspace?
No. Net Net does not cap team size or charge by head count. What your plan covers is Job capacity, not people.
Why can't my new teammate accept their invite?
The workspace is most likely suspended for non-payment or canceled. Invite acceptance is blocked in that state and the invitee is told to contact the workspace owner. Once payment is sorted out, the same invite works again.
Does suspension remove people from my workspace?
No. Everyone already in the workspace stays in it. Suspension blocks new people from accepting invites, and it archives active Jobs, but it does not remove members.
Who can change our plan or payment details?
Only Owners. Admins can invite people and manage roles, but the subscription and payment information sit with the Owner. Leads and Members cannot invite people at all.
What is the Monthly Seat Cost field on a team member?
It is your own figure for what that person costs your business, used in your reporting. It is not something Net Net charges you, and it has no effect on your Net Net bill.
