Performance Dashboards: Five Tabs Coming August 2026
In brief: Coming August 2026, Performance Dashboards will be five Owner and Admin tabs: Today, Clients, Team Support, Capacity, and Plan vs Actual.
Applies to: Owners and Admins; the Performance section stays hidden for Leads and Members.
See also: How Performance Works: Effort, Timeline, and Drift is the measurement model underneath, and Jobs Report: Look Up Any Job's Plan vs Actual History is the workspace-wide read available today.
Performance Dashboards will be five tabs, and each one will answer exactly one question an owner actually asks out loud. Today: what needs a decision right now. Clients: which client relationships need attention before the work damages them. Team Support: who may need a check-in. Capacity: can we take on more this month, and who has room. Plan vs Actual: when work closed, how close were the planned hours to the time actually logged. Dashboards will be the workspace-wide layer of Performance, visible to Owners and Admins.
Everything Performance shows you in Net Net today is scoped to one thing at a time: the meter on a single Deliverable, or the Performance tab inside a single Job. Dashboards will be the layer above that, the read across every Job at once, working from the same effort and timeline measurements described in How Performance Works: Effort, Timeline, and Drift.
The five tabs, and when you will reach for each
Each tab has a distinct job. They are not five views of the same list.
Today answers: what needs a decision right now, before I step away? It will open with a plain read of whether today's numbers can be trusted, then list the Jobs that need you, at the Job level rather than the Deliverable level, because an owner thinks in clients and Jobs. This is the morning tab.
Clients answers: which client relationships need attention before the work damages the relationship? It will be a triage screen, not a roster. Only clients with an actual attention signal will appear; steady clients stay quiet behind a reassurance line.
Team Support answers: who may need a check-in right now? It is a support surface, deliberately not a performance grade. It will never rank, score, or compare people against each other.
Capacity answers: can we take on more this month, and who has room? It will be a monthly known-load view with a This month and Next month toggle, and it will be honest about the demand it cannot see.
Plan vs Actual answers: when Deliverables closed, how close were the planned service type hours to the time actually logged? It is the learning tab, built entirely on closed work.
Dashboards and Reports do different jobs
This distinction matters, because both surfaces show effort and timeline and it would be easy to assume they overlap.
Reports are the evidence and lookup layer. Time Report, Team Report, and Jobs Report already exist today and are unchanged by any of this. You go to a Report to answer "what happened," usually over a date range, usually to check something or export it.
Dashboards will be the decision layer. You go to a Dashboard to answer "what should I do about it today." They will show current state, not history, and every tile on them has to lead somewhere.
Who will see them
Owners and Admins. The Performance section is hidden from the sidebar for Leads and Members, and Dashboards will sit inside that section.
That is not a downgrade for anybody. Leads already reach performance data through the Jobs they lead, using the Job's Performance tab. Everyone in the workspace, in every role, sees their own My Performance. What is scoped to Owners and Admins is the workspace-wide read across other people's work, which is exactly the scoping described in User Roles Explained: Owner, Admin, Lead, and Member.
What Dashboards will not do
A few boundaries are worth naming now, because they shape what these screens will feel like.
No money, anywhere. Dashboards will speak in hours, days, and counts, the same as the rest of Performance. No score and no leaderboard: nothing on any of the five tabs will rank one person against another. No alarms: there will be no blocking modal, no warning you have to dismiss, and ignoring a card will always be a valid choice. And no invented numbers. Where Net Net cannot honestly know something, such as forward demand from a deal that has not been planned into a Job yet, it will say so rather than estimate it for you.
Direction and trend arrows are also deliberately not part of the first version, with one exception. Comparing this week to last week requires storing a nightly snapshot of workspace health, which does not exist yet. Plan vs Actual is the exception, because its trend is derivable from closed work alone.
Those boundaries are not accidental. The wider case for where the product deliberately stops is on the Net Net workflow management software page.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are Performance Dashboards available today?
No. They are scheduled to arrive at the end of August 2026. Performance in Net Net today covers the Deliverable meter, the Job Performance tab, My Performance, and the Time, Team, and Jobs Reports. Everything in this article is a preview of a screen that has not shipped yet.
How are Dashboards different from Reports?
Reports answer "what happened." Dashboards will answer "what should I do about it today." Reports are the evidence and lookup layer, usually over a date range, and they already exist. Dashboards will show current state and are built so every tile drives a decision.
Who will be able to see the Dashboards?
Owners and Admins. Performance is hidden from the sidebar for Leads and Members. Leads will keep reaching performance data through the Jobs they lead, and everyone continues to see their own My Performance regardless of role.
Will Dashboards show revenue, cost, or profit?
No. Performance measures effort and timeline, never money, and Dashboards inherit that rule without exception. If you are looking for a profitability view, Net Net does not have one and is not building one.
Will I need to turn anything on when they ship?
No. Dashboards will read data Net Net already stores from your Jobs, Deliverables, and logged time. The one thing worth doing ahead of time is setting Monthly Capacity for each teammate in Settings, since the Capacity tab reads that value and skips anyone who does not have one.
Will there be trend arrows showing whether things are getting better or worse?
Not in the first version, except on Plan vs Actual. Direction over time needs a nightly health snapshot that Net Net does not store yet, so the first release shows current state only. Plan vs Actual is the exception because its trend can be calculated from closed work alone.
